About the Role

We’re looking for a Product Designer to join our Core Product team, starting with a focus on Voice & Video, one of our most critical and beloved features. This role is all about enhancing the ways people connect in real time while gaming or hanging out. You'll work end-to-end—from concepting to prototyping to final implementation—delivering impactful experiences used by millions around the globe.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with a lead designer and cross-functional partners (engineering, product, analytics).
• Support the voice and video ecosystem with design strategies, visuals, and user experiences.
• Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.
• Own the design QA process to ensure pixel-perfect implementation.
• Work closely with our Core Tech Audio & Video team to create tools and features that enhance real-time communication.
• Use and contribute to Discord’s Design System to ensure cohesive experiences.
• Test, learn, and iterate on product features to improve usability and delight.

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of experience designing consumer-facing products (open to entry-level candidates with strong portfolios).
• Proficiency in Figma and at least one high-fidelity prototyping tool (e.g., Protopie, Framer, Origami).
• A strong portfolio showcasing ownership of design for both desktop and mobile.
• Passionate, frequent Discord user with a love for gaming culture.
• Strong communicator who can present ideas clearly and build consensus.
• Experience working with design systems.
• Action-oriented mindset with a low ego and a collaborative approach.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $160,000 – $180,000 USD (base)
• Includes equity and comprehensive benefits
