Product Manager – Core Product (Messaging)

Location: Remote (U.S. Based) | Option to work from SF office

Compensation: $196,000 – $220,500 + Equity + Benefits

Role Overview:

Discord is looking for a Product Manager to lead its Messaging team within the Core Product organization. This role will drive the roadmap and strategy to enhance the messaging experience for 200M+ monthly users, empowering them to connect and socialize seamlessly through text, voice, and rich media.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Messaging
• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, ML, and Data Science
• Lead the development of features and infrastructure to enhance messaging
• Own and optimize engagement metrics and product performance
• Collaborate across teams (Growth, Revenue, Developer Ecosystem) to scale solutions
• Communicate priorities, roadmaps, and trade-offs to stakeholders and leadership

Requirements:

• 5+ years in consumer product management with a focus on scale and engagement
• Strong technical understanding and ability to work closely with engineering
• Experience with A/B testing, SQL, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making
• Track record of launching successful social or messaging products
• Passion for building experiences that deepen social connections

Bonus:
