Product Manager, Core Product - United States

🧠 Role Overview:

• Position: Product Manager, Core Product (Messaging)
• Location: Remote (U.S.-based)
• Team: Core Product (focus on messaging system)
• Goal: Lead the development of messaging systems that make Discord the best place to chat with friends.

💼 Key Responsibilities:

• Define product vision and roadmap for Messaging.
• Lead a cross-functional team (engineers, designers, ML, data scientists).
• Partner with other teams like Revenue, Developer Ecosystem, and Growth.
• Own KPIs around engagement and user interaction.
• Make product decisions independently while gaining executive buy-in.
• Drive feature launches, improvements, and experimental initiatives.

✅ Requirements:

• 5+ years of product management experience in consumer tech.
• Proven success launching and scaling user-facing products.
• Strong data skills (including writing SQL) and analytical thinking.
• Technical fluency; comfortable working with engineering teams.
• Experience in A/B testing and experimentation.
• Strong product sense for social/messaging platforms.

💰 Compensation:

• Salary: $196,000–$220,500 (base)
• Plus: Equity + full benefits package
