About the Role:

You’ll lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Discord’s Experimentation Platform. This platform supports multiple teams across Discord by improving A/B testing systems, increasing experimentation speed and confidence, and enabling faster product development with stronger data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define product philosophy, vision, and roadmap for the Experimentation Platform.
• Design improvements to address challenges like bias and sample ratio mismatches.
• Collaborate closely with Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams to enhance experimentation rigor and usability.
• Develop training materials and standards for better experiment design and results interpretation across Discord.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping software products, managing prioritization, trade-offs, and timelines.
• Experience with experimentation platforms, A/B testing frameworks, or causal inference methods.
• Strong statistical knowledge (p-values, confidence intervals, power analysis, etc.).
• BA/BS in computer science, math, physics, economics, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or R; experience with BigQuery preferred.
• Effective collaboration with engineering teams.
• Passion for gaming and the gaming industry.

Bonus Points:

• Experience scaling or improving experimentation platforms.
• Advanced degrees in quantitative fields like statistics, engineering, finance, or math.
