Team Overview: Growth

The Growth team at Discord builds experiences that retain and re-engage new or returning users. This includes in-app features, emails, and notifications that help users stay connected to conversations and communities that matter.

As Product Manager, Growth, you will lead the Notifications team, working to improve user engagement through timely, relevant, and personalized notification experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Discord’s Notifications Platform and Experiences.
• Build and launch delightful, scalable notification products that connect users to their communities.
• Drive improvements in notification infrastructure to support personalized, real-time delivery across platforms.
• Lead cross-functional teams (Engineering, Design, ML, Data Science) through execution cycles.
• Partner with other teams (Revenue, Developer Ecosystem, etc.) to enable effective notifications.
• Independently own decision-making in your product area and communicate clearly across audiences including leadership.
• Monitor and drive performance using engagement metrics and experimentation.
• Conduct A/B tests and utilize experimentation frameworks to validate feature impact.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience with a track record of shipping impactful software.
• Experience in notifications, engagement, or retention-focused features.
• Strong analytical and data skills — ability to write SQL and work closely with Data Science partners.
• Technical fluency and ability to collaborate deeply with engineers.
• Excellent product intuition and understanding of user needs.
• Experience with A/B testing and experimentation platforms.
• Ability to operate independently and drive cross-team alignment in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with communication, social, or community platforms.
• Technical degree (e.g., BA/BS in Computer Science or Engineering).
• Familiarity with localization/internationalization challenges.
• Deep passion for Discord and gaming culture.

• Base Salary: $196,000 – $220,500 USD
