Discord is seeking a Bilingual Threat Operations Specialist to help prevent harmful content, particularly related to child exploitation, graphic violence, self-injury, and other offensive content, from appearing on its platform. This role is vital for enhancing Discord's efforts to protect users, especially minors, and mitigate complex threats.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Review and respond to sensitive content reports, such as child exploitation, graphic violence, self-injury, and offensive material.
• Investigate complex cases to attribute abuse to the responsible individuals or networks, preparing detailed reports for internal and external audiences, including law enforcement.
• Evaluate risks, threats, and user privacy in time-sensitive situations, making decisions based on urgency and sensitivity.
• Collaborate with various teams, sharing insights and expertise on minor safety and exploitative content.
• Identify undetected abuse using internal data, open-source intelligence, and partner information.
• Respond to users with safety-related concerns, offering empathetic support.

What You Should Have:

• 1-2 years of experience in Trust and Safety, particularly with child safety content review and removal.
• Proficiency in a second language, preferably Spanish, Portuguese, or Arabic.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to support global operations.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex information clearly.
• Ability to operate in a high-pressure environment while meeting specific SLAs.

Bonus Points:

• Qualifications in Intelligence Studies, Cybersecurity, Criminal Justice, Criminology, or related fields.
• Experience with SQL, Python, or other programming languages for data manipulation.
