We're now looking for a Senior Manager, Procurement to drive strategic sourcing and improve procurement processes across Discord.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Strategic Procurement Leadership:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with Discord’s goals, focusing on cost savings, risk mitigation, and supplier performance optimization.
• Team Leadership & Development:
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement professionals, creating a high-performance culture while driving career development within the function.
• Stakeholder & Relationship Management:
• Work closely with finance, legal, and operational teams to integrate procurement strategies into company-wide initiatives and objectives.
• Process & Workflow Design:
• Lead the design and implementation of efficient procurement workflows, ensuring strong governance and continuous improvements across the team and stakeholders.
• Procurement Tooling & Automation:
• Evaluate, implement, and optimize procurement technology to improve efficiency, compliance, and spend visibility.

What You Should Have:

• Experience:
• 10+ years in procurement, focusing on Software, Professional Services, and stakeholder management. Experience with Cloud Infrastructure negotiations is a plus.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Industry Experience:
• Strong background in high-growth tech or fast-scaling environments, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and evolving business needs.
• Stakeholder Management:
• Expertise in managing stakeholder priorities and aligning procurement strategy with broader business objectives.
• Negotiation & Analytical Skills:
• Deep experience in managing complex, high-value contracts and assessing total cost of ownership (TCO) and supplier risk.
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.

Nice to Have:

• Procurement Tools Expertise:
• Experience in implementing and optimizing procurement technology/tools, particularly in environments requiring change management and influence.
• Procurement Transformation:
• Background in building procurement from the ground up or leading a major transformation initiative.

Compensation:

• Base Salary Range: $196,000 to $220,500
• In addition to the base salary, equity and benefits are provided, with compensation determined by role, level, experience, and relevant education.
