🔍 The Role

As a GRC Risk Engineer, you'll lead efforts to quantify, assess, and mitigate security and compliance risks, directly influencing TikTok’s risk posture and governance maturity. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across technical and compliance teams, applying data-driven frameworks to enhance the integrity of our U.S. operations.

💼 Responsibilities

• Manage security and compliance risks through the entire risk lifecycle using industry frameworks (e.g., FAIR, ISO 31000).
• Enhance TikTok's risk quantification capabilities using operational data and key risk indicators (KRIs).
• Develop actionable risk treatment plans and monitor compliance against business risk thresholds.
• Report to executive leadership with data-backed insights on top risks.
• Scale and refine exception and remediation processes to drive operational excellence.

📌 Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years in Security Risk Management or GRC roles.
• Practical experience with FAIR, ISO 31000, or similar frameworks.
• Proven track record of risk lifecycle management and technical program implementation.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to translate technical risks into business terms.
• Solid understanding of technical security domains (e.g., SDLC, IAM, supply chain).

Preferred:

• Familiarity with modern GRC tools (e.g., Archer, ServiceNow).
• Programming experience for automating KRI/KPI monitoring.
• Relevant certifications: CISSP, CRISC, ISO27001, Security+, etc.
• Experience in startups or fast-paced tech environments.

💰 Compensation & Benefits

• 💵 Salary Range: $88,920 – $161,400/year
