Job Description

Amazon's Operations division manages the end-to-end customer order fulfillment process. The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team ensures operational excellence by maintaining equipment, enforcing safety standards, and driving technical and process improvements across sites. This role is the on-site engineering leader responsible for maintenance strategy, compliance, team development, and long-term infrastructure planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the site engineering team, providing mentorship and overseeing performance.
• Ensure full compliance with safety and statutory maintenance programs.
• Support hiring for technical roles, including apprentices and graduates.
• Implement EU-wide engineering standards and preventive maintenance practices.
• Manage equipment failure contingency planning and rapid response to breakdowns.
• Collaborate with site and regional teams to plan for upgrades, capacity growth, and new equipment.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience at Amazon.
• Proven background in engineering facilities management.
• Strong experience in people leadership and performance management.
• Familiarity with reliability-centered maintenance.
• Experience managing budgets and controlling costs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with electrical, mechanical, and automation systems design review.
• Knowledge of conveyor systems, industrial electronics, schematics, and CMMS.
• Project management experience.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.
