About the Role:

Crypto.com is looking for a Rust Engineer to join our Greenfield Project team – a dynamic unit focused on building new ventures adjacent to our core business. As part of a lean and fast-moving team, you will have the opportunity to design and implement scalable systems from the ground up, contributing across both backend infrastructure and application logic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in end-to-end software development for new ventures, including architecture, design, implementation, and testing
• Develop and maintain scalable backend systems using Rust and other modern programming languages
• Identify and solve complex issues within blockchain protocols and distributed systems
• Collaborate with DevOps and ecosystem engineers to enhance system performance and reliability
• Contribute to architectural decisions and lead design/code reviews to ensure high engineering standards
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, APIs, and processes
• Proactively propose solutions and improvements to technical challenges

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on backend development
• Proficiency in Rust, Go, Java, or Erlang
• Experience with cryptographic primitives such as digital signatures, symmetric/asymmetric encryption, and key exchange
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and consensus algorithms (e.g., Raft, PBFT)
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex protocol issues
• Self-starter with excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
• Open mindset, receptive to feedback, and a team player
• Experience working in high-scale systems or blockchain technologies is a plus
