Job Title: SEO Specialist - Crypto & Web3 (Remote)

As an SEO Specialist for crypto and Web3, you will take ownership of SEO efforts across Hagerty's websites and platforms, particularly focused on Web3, crypto-related content, and initiatives. This role reports to the Manager of Content Marketing and works closely with the Acquisition Marketing team. You’ll collaborate with development, tech, editorial, marketing, and product teams to drive traffic, optimize content, and enhance our SEO strategies for both crypto and automotive audiences.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee and optimize organic traffic performance across Hagerty's digital properties, including those related to cryptocurrency, Web3, and automotive content. Use SEO tools (SEMRush, Similarweb, Google Search Console, etc.) and site analytics (Adobe Analytics) for ongoing audits and reporting.
• Develop content and on-page optimization strategies to drive organic growth, including meta tags, keyword optimization, content refreshes, backlinking, and structural recommendations.
• Manage technical SEO for all owned websites, offering guidelines for tag and structural optimizations, including cryptocurrency-related technical considerations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (tech, editorial, marketing, business intelligence, product, etc.) to implement SEO best practices and conduct full website audits focused on crypto and Web3 content.
• Regularly report on trends and opportunities related to organic traffic and performance. Provide actionable insights and recommendations for areas of improvement.
• Manage link structure, canonicalization, schema markup, mobile SEO, and other vital technical aspects to ensure best-in-class performance across crypto and Web3 content.
• Stay ahead of SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices, especially in the crypto, Web3, and blockchain sectors.
• Understand how development and Web3 changes affect SEO performance and make strategic recommendations accordingly.

This Might Describe You:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in SEO or relevant field.
• Strong experience in SEO within the crypto, Web3, or automotive industries (agency or in-house).
• Expertise with SEO tools (e.g., SEMRush, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Adobe Analytics, Similarweb, Moz, Ahrefs, etc.).
• Comfortable presenting data and insights using tools like PowerPoint and Excel.
• Functional knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SEO principles for Web3 and blockchain technologies.
• Proven track record of working independently and taking ownership of SEO projects, particularly related to niche industries such as cryptocurrency.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex SEO and Web3 concepts to various stakeholders via Slack, email, or video communication.

Other Things to Note:

• This position can be worked remotely within the United States.
• Familiarity with public company regulations, including Sarbanes-Oxley and compliance requirements (if applicable).
• Responsible for designing, executing, and documenting internal controls for financial reporting when applicable.
