We’re looking for a Senior Adaptive Data Analyst to join our Adaptive Data Analytics team — a group dedicated to protecting users from large-scale abuse like spam, fraud, and account compromises. If you're driven by complex data challenges and care deeply about user safety, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and implement anti-abuse strategies using heuristic rules and machine learning models.
• Analyze and report on abuse trends, offering actionable insights to improve platform safety.
• Propose and lead projects through well-developed RFCs, securing leadership buy-in.
• Collaborate with product teams to build abuse-prevention strategies into new features.
• Investigate emerging patterns of abuse from user reports and internal metrics.
• Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Machine Learning, and Customer Experience teams on time-sensitive issues.

What You Should Have

• 5+ years of experience with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript) and expert-level SQL skills.
• 3+ years combating scaled online abuse with innovative, proactive solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and investigative skills; ability to find root causes.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with experimentation in production environments.
• Familiarity with standard software engineering practices (spec writing, code reviews, version control).
• Passion for protecting online communities, with a creative and resilient mindset.

Bonus Points

• Previous experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, Security Engineer, or Data Scientist.
• Expertise in creating new metrics and visibility tools for emerging threat landscapes.
• Background in statistics, causal inference, or machine learning model development.

Compensation

• Salary Range: $180,000 – $202,500 (base) + equity + benefits.
• Pay depends on skills, experience, and education.
