🛠 What You’ll Be Doing

You're basically the cyber firefighter for Coinbase. 🔥

First responder to security alerts, triaging and leading incident response

Writing and automating runbooks (no SOC monkey business here)

Tuning detection rules (less noise, more signal)

Investigating threats with Trust & Safety + Threat Intel teams

Supporting Web3 launches from a security standpoint

Doing on-call rotations (light, not burnout-level)

Mentoring peers & collaborating across engineering, compliance, product

✅ What Makes You a Great Fit

No checklist obsession here, but Coinbase will heart react if:

You’ve got 7+ years of hands-on security experience (IR, malware, account compromises, etc.)

You’re a log wizard (Multi-cloud, SaaS, containers, MnAs)

You love automation > repetition (Python, Jupyter, etc.)

You're chill under pressure & known for clear communication

You're empathetic, not judgmental (this is BIG at Coinbase)

Got into security through a non-traditional path? 🎯 They like that.

Experience in cloud, OSINT, threat hunting, ATT&CK framework

Familiar with blockchain, or at least have a Bitcoin FOMO story

SQL/Snowflake, basic scripting, security in Web3 environments
