Senior Associate, Compliance Product

Summary of the Role:

Coinbase is looking for a Senior Associate who will act as a critical bridge between Compliance, Engineering, and Regulators.

You'd focus on designing and improving Financial Crime Compliance models (like Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions Screening, and Customer Risk Score) using AI and ML — and documenting and defending them to regulators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write detailed Product Requirements Documents (PRDs).
• Identify improvement opportunities for compliance models using AI/Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Translate regulatory/business needs into technical requirements.
• Present and defend models in regulatory exams and audits.
• Build and prioritize product roadmaps.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Compliance, Legal, CX, and Data teams.

Must-Have Skills:

• Background in Financial Crime Compliance (as Product Manager, Business Analyst, or Engineer).
• Strong documentation skills (PRDs, flowcharts, diagrams).
• Hands-on experience with Machine Learning or AI-driven products.
• Comfortable working with regulators and defending technical solutions.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and project management skills.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience applying AI/ML/LLMs in a compliance setting.
• Knowledge of cryptocurrency/blockchain.
• Familiarity with Agile (JIRA, Confluence).
• ACAMS certification (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist).

Salary Range:

💰 $167,280 – $196,800 (plus bonus + equity + benefits)
