🔑 Key Responsibilities

🌎 International Expansion in LATAM

• Act as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for BD and market entry across Latin America
• Propose and negotiate innovative commercial and product structures, especially around payments and stablecoins
• Lead initiatives for launching Coinbase’s retail and institutional products in new markets

🤝 Partnership Leadership

• Build relationships with banks, fintechs, PSPs, and liquidity providers
• Educate internal teams on local payment rails, regulatory landscapes, and go-to-market strategies
• Support product-market fit through local integrations and collaborations

🧠 Cross-functional Coordination

• Work with Product, Engineering, Legal, Policy, Compliance, Marketing, and Comms to launch products and forge partnerships
• Provide insights to drive Coinbase’s onchain platform and subscription services globally

✅ Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years in business development, partnerships, corporate development, or international strategy
• Strong payments knowledge in traditional (Web2) and emerging (Web3) systems
• Spanish and Portuguese fluency (critical for LATAM expansion)
• Experience with cross-border regulations, crypto ecosystem, or fintech operations
• Strategic thinker with data-driven problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; must navigate complex stakeholder dynamics
• International work experience, ideally with exposure to LATAM markets
• Willingness to travel for team offsites or market engagement

• Professional or personal experience in crypto startups
• Familiarity with stablecoins, Layer 2s (L2s) like Base
• History of launching or scaling products in frontier markets
