🔍 Role Overview

As a Senior Associate, you’ll play a strategic role in Coinbase’s international growth, driving product partnerships in Latin America. You'll be at the forefront of expanding the company’s consumer, institutional, and stablecoin services by identifying high-impact market entry points and negotiating creative deal structures. This role combines BD generalist skills with deep expertise in payments infrastructure, particularly as it intersects with blockchain and stablecoins like USDC.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for business development and partnership workstreams in Latin America.
• Identify and execute creative product and commercial partnership structures to drive adoption of USDC and the Coinbase exchange.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Legal, Policy, Compliance, and Engineering to unlock new market opportunities.
• Educate internal teams on local payments rails, regulatory landscapes, and business culture in Latin American markets.
• Build relationships with banks, fintechs, liquidity providers, PSPs, and local regulators to support Coinbase’s local integration.

✅ Required Qualifications

• 5+ years in business development, partnerships, corporate development, or market expansion, ideally with global or LatAm exposure.
• Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
• Deep understanding of traditional payments systems and familiarity with stablecoins and L2 blockchain solutions.
• Strong cross-functional communication and organizational skills with a track record of navigating complex projects.
• Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and prioritization skills.
• Entrepreneurial and comfortable in fast-paced, high-performance environments.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

➕ Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at a crypto startup or in the broader blockchain ecosystem.
• Prior work in LatAm-focused fintech, payments, or digital infrastructure ventures.
• Direct experience launching products in new regulatory environments.

💰 Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $167,280 – $196,800 USD
• Includes bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401(k))
