Position: Senior Backend Developer (Node.js) / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Location: Remote (Dublin, Ireland timezone preferred)

Role Overview

Join Binance’s engineering team to build internal monitoring, alerting, and automated testing systems for high-load, real-time production environments. Collaborate with Dev, QA, and DevOps to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain internal monitoring and alerting tools
• Automate production testing workflows
• Diagnose and resolve performance and software issues
• Suggest architectural and process improvements
• Evaluate new tools, technologies, and vendors
• Ensure system security best practices are followed

Required Skills

• 5+ years as a Node.js / JavaScript developer
• Deep understanding of REST APIs and WebSockets
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems
• Proficient with the Linux environment
• Strong English communication skills

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Experience with tools: Docker, Nginx, Prometheus, Grafana
• Knowledge of time series databases
• Exposure to low-level languages (e.g., C, C++, Rust)
• Contributions to open-source projects
