What You’ll Do

• Design and develop scalable backend solutions powering Canva’s global marketing systems.
• Work closely with marketing and data teams to build automation, analytics, and optimization tools.
• Maintain and improve systems that drive communications, growth, and audience engagement.
• Collaborate with engineers across teams to integrate Canva’s core product with marketing platforms.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide technical decisions to help shape the strategic direction.
• Promote code quality, testing, and continuous improvement best practices.

• Experienced backend engineer, strong in Java, with a history of building robust, scalable systems.
• Passionate about solving marketing-related challenges through technology.
