Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our Agent Productivity Tools (APT) team, a vital part of our Enterprise Applications and Architecture organization. You will be responsible for building scalable and reliable backend services that enhance the productivity of customer service agents and compliance processes. This is a full-stack role that involves working with a variety of technologies, third-party integrations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Feature Development: Build and improve user-facing features using React and JavaScript frameworks, ensuring seamless integration with backend services.
• Third-Party Integrations: Lead the evaluation, implementation, and integration of third-party tools and services that help automate and streamline internal workflows.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, security, and other engineering teams to deliver comprehensive solutions for complex problems.
• Code Quality & Architecture: Contribute to the design and architecture of front-end systems and services. Mentor team members in coding best practices, testing, documentation, and scaling.
• Proactive Problem Solving: Identify potential issues in development and operations, adapt strategies to address them, and communicate solutions across teams.
• Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, ensuring they adhere to best practices in development, deployment, and release processes.

What You’ll Bring:

• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in backend software engineering, developing web applications, and shipping user-facing features with JavaScript, React, and modern JS frameworks.
• Strong Backend Knowledge: Proven ability to work with backend architectures, build scalable services, and integrate third-party systems.
• Proficiency in React: Expertise in React and component-based JavaScript frameworks for building robust, user-facing features.
• SaaS Platform Knowledge: Experience with SaaS platforms and integrating third-party vendor applications.
• Collaboration Skills: Ability to collaborate with product and technical teams across different time zones to deliver high-impact solutions.

• Additional Languages: Experience with Python, Ruby, or other backend technologies.
• SaaS Experience: Background in working with SaaS platforms and tools.
• Advanced Architecture Skills: Deep understanding of front-end and back-end architecture, with the ability to contribute to scalable solutions.
