🔍 About the Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll design, build, and maintain a scalable enterprise-level data warehouse to support real-time insights across Binance's operations. You'll lead data governance, improve system performance, and mentor fellow engineers—all within a petabyte-scale, fast-moving environment.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain a flexible and scalable data warehouse aligned with business and technical needs.
• Design and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot complex data processing issues and fine-tune calculation logic and performance.
• Build robust metadata and data quality monitoring frameworks.
• Lead data governance initiatives and enforce best practices in data modeling and integrity.
• Mentor junior engineers and support continuous team development and knowledge sharing.

✅ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in building and managing data lakes and data warehouse solutions.
• Expert in data modeling, dimensional modeling, data vault, and data governance best practices.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Scala, or Python.
• Proficiency in Hive SQL and Spark SQL.
• Hands-on experience with OLAP engines such as Apache Kylin, Presto, Impala, or Druid.
• Proven experience with high-throughput batch pipelines in Big Data environments.
• Deep familiarity with tools and technologies such as:
• Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Delta Lake, Hudi
• Kafka, Zookeeper, Elasticsearch, Redis, Airflow
• Cloud experience (especially AWS Big Data services) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and system design skills.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

🗣️ Preferred

• Experience working with petabyte-scale datasets in high-frequency or internet-scale businesses.
• Ability to handle critical production incidents and optimize pipelines under pressure.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin to coordinate with international stakeholders.
