Job Title:

Senior Data Scientist – Analytics

Location: San Francisco Bay Area (Relocation support available)

Compensation: $196,000 – $220,500 + Equity + Benefits

Role Summary:

Discord is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their growing Data Science & Analytics team. You will play a critical role in driving product insights and data-driven decisions across the company. Working in a collaborative environment, you’ll shape user experience by delivering strategic analysis, dashboarding, and experimentation support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead data science efforts across the full product lifecycle: ideation to experimentation
• Define and monitor KPIs via actionable dashboards and reports
• Write performant SQL to build scalable custom datasets
• Champion A/B testing across the organization — from design to analysis
• Communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Work with engineering to build robust instrumentation

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience translating complex problems into clear data insights
• Advanced SQL proficiency and dashboarding expertise (Looker/Tableau)
• Strong A/B testing knowledge in high-volume environments
• Excellent communication and storytelling through data
• Proven collaboration with product, engineering, and leadership

Bonus Points:

• Experience in social platforms or subscription-based products
• Background in growth, engagement, or LTV analytics
• BigQuery and production ETL skills
• Passion for Discord’s mission and community
