Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist (Onchain Analytics) to join our growing data team. You will work closely with the Financial Crime & Compliance unit to develop machine learning models, maintain production systems, and enhance the effectiveness of compliance operations. This role offers a blend of technical depth, strategic impact, and hands-on innovation within the crypto and blockchain ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the FinCrime & Compliance teams to optimize workflows and reduce compliance risks.
• Analyze and interpret complex datasets to deliver actionable insights that support business decisions.
• Design, develop, and maintain machine learning models and compliance systems (e.g., AML detection engines).
• Manage QA testing, audit responses, and continuous model improvement initiatives.
• Lead end-to-end development of new analytics solutions—from proof-of-concept to production deployment.
• Identify emerging trends in onchain activity and incorporate relevant insights into product or compliance enhancements.

Required Qualifications

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics).
• PhD preferred.
• Experience:
• 8+ years of hands-on data science experience, ideally within fintech, blockchain, or crypto industries.
• Strong experience in onchain analytics and financial compliance tools.
• Technical Skills:
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience deploying and maintaining ML models in AWS cloud environments.
• Familiarity with production systems, model monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Soft Skills:
• Comfortable handling both strategic initiatives and ad-hoc data requests.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
• Ability to digest and implement insights from leading international research papers and conferences.
