🚀 Role Overview:

Lead and grow a team of data engineers and data scientists to build scalable, robust data pipelines and analytics platforms that support Coinbase’s financial operations. You’ll work closely with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, and Engineering to integrate and automate financial data workflows, ensuring high data quality and enabling data-driven decision making.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team focused on data pipeline and ETL development.
• Collaborate with Finance and other stakeholders to ensure seamless financial data integration.
• Define data governance, quality, and security standards for finance data.
• Build interactive dashboards and reports for finance teams.
• Enhance system reliability, scalability, and performance of financial data infrastructure.
• Partner cross-functionally to define and execute technical roadmaps.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

✅ Requirements:

• 10+ years in data engineering, analytics, or related roles.
• 5+ years in a leadership/management position.
• Expertise in data pipelines, ETL frameworks, and data modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python (or similar scripting languages).
• Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow).
• Deep understanding of financial data, accounting, and treasury processes.
• Experience designing and optimizing data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks).
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• Experience working with financial services data.
• Crypto industry experience or knowledge.
• Domain expertise in Payments, Accounting, Finance.
• Familiarity with BI tools like Looker or Tableau.
