About the Role

Canva is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a frontend engineering team within the Editing Core group. This team builds the foundation of the Canva Editor — one of the most critical parts of Canva’s product — supporting real-time collaboration, offline editing, performance, and more.

You’ll manage a high-performing team of ~10 senior and staff engineers, drive architecture decisions, scale team capabilities, and collaborate closely with product and technical leads.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of ~10 engineers in the Editing Core group.
• Drive major architecture improvements in Canva's Editor.
• Execute large, cross-functional engineering initiatives.
• Mentor and grow the team’s technical skills and capabilities.
• Shape the future of features like collaborative editing, offline functionality, and performance.
• Influence the roadmap and align engineering work with company goals.
