About the Role

You will lead a team of ~10 senior/staff frontend engineers focused on evolving the core architecture of the Canva Editor. This includes building foundational systems for real-time collaboration, offline editing, performance, and scalability.

• Lead and grow a high-performing frontend engineering team
• Drive architectural improvements in the Canva Editor
• Deliver large-scale, cross-functional technical initiatives
• Partner with Product and Tech Leads to shape roadmap strategy
• Foster technical excellence through mentoring and coaching
• Contribute to Canva’s editing architecture for scalability, collaboration, and performance

The Editing Core team builds and maintains the critical infrastructure of the Canva Editor—supporting document models, selection logic, collaboration, and offline capabilities. Their work enables fast innovation across Canva’s platform.
