Role Overview:

Canva is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Workday Platform team, responsible for the technical strategy, architecture, and delivery of Workday systems. The role involves close collaboration with People, Finance, and Security teams to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional engineering team
• Define and execute the Workday technical strategy and architecture
• Oversee integrations, testing, release workflows, and platform governance
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (SOX, ITGC, etc.)
• Partner with stakeholders to deliver effective Workday solutions
• Foster a strong engineering culture focused on quality and performance

Qualifications:

• Proven experience leading technical teams in enterprise platforms
• In-depth expertise with Workday architecture and integrations
• Familiarity with Workday tools (Studio, EIB), APIs, and event-driven systems
• Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., SOX, audit readiness)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
