About the Role

Crypto.com’s ventures team is seeking an experienced blockchain engineer to help design, develop, and optimize protocol-level software. You’ll work across the stack to build scalable, secure, and high-performance blockchain systems that power next-generation crypto products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the architecture, design, and development of blockchain protocol components
• Identify and solve complex engineering challenges in blockchain consensus, networking, and cryptography
• Analyze protocol-level bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions
• Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, and ecosystem teams to build high-scale backend services
• Ensure thorough documentation of implemented features, designs, and decisions
• Continuously improve the codebase, tooling, and processes with long-term engineering goals in mind

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with strong backend skills (Go or Rust preferred)
• Deep understanding of cryptographic primitives (e.g., digital signatures, key exchange, encryption)
• Solid grasp of distributed systems and consensus algorithms like Raft or PBFT
• Experience working independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
• Eager to learn and experiment; comfortable giving and receiving feedback
• Effective communicator with strong organizational and stakeholder management skills

Nice-to-Have

• Contributions to open-source blockchain projects
• Research background in cryptography, consensus mechanisms, or blockchain systems
• Experience working on Cosmos SDK, Ethereum core, or similar projects
• Hands-on development using Golang or Rust in production blockchain environments
