📌 Position Overview

• Title: Senior Litigation Counsel
• Type: Contract (though it lists full-time salary, so it may be long-term)
• Location: Remote (HQ in San Francisco, CA)
• Salary: $304K–$342K base + equity + benefits
• Reporting to: VP & Deputy General Counsel, Litigation & Regulatory Compliance

🧑‍⚖️ Key Responsibilities

• Litigation Strategy & Execution:
• Handle a broad array of disputes (pre-litigation through trial/arbitration) including high-impact and novel legal issues.
• Outside Counsel Management:
• Supervise and collaborate with law firms on complex litigation.
• eDiscovery:
• Develop and refine systems for managing and scaling e-discovery efficiently.
• Compliance & Risk Awareness:
• Monitor evolving laws in tech/platform regulation; assess/preempt risks before they escalate.
• Cross-Functional Partnership:
• Work closely with other legal and business teams to advise and support internal initiatives.

✅ Required Qualifications

• Education & Experience:
• JD + bar admission
• 10+ years total (firm + in-house)
• Tech sector preferred
• Legal Expertise:
• Deep litigation experience across issues like:
• Platform safety
• Privacy & data
• Consumer protection
• CDA 230, DMCA, IP
• Skills & Traits:
• Strong communicator and strategic thinker
• Comfortable operating autonomously and in fast-paced environments
• Proactive about developing systems/processes
• Open-minded and collaborative
