About the Role:

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Manager, Analytics Engineering to lead a team of analytics engineers building scalable, trusted, and AI-ready data foundations. You’ll partner closely with finance, customer experience, HR, compliance, and product teams to drive business impact through high-quality data models, pipelines, and insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hire, mentor, and manage a high-performing analytics engineering team
• Lead architecture of core data models and domain-specific data marts
• Ensure rigorous testing, monitoring, and validation for data accuracy and reliability
• Drive AI- and LLM-readiness across analytics infrastructure
• Partner cross-functionally to deliver dashboards, self-service tools, and impactful insights
• Build scalable frameworks using tools like DBT, Airflow, Snowflake, Hex, and GitHub
• Champion data quality, operational excellence, and agile development practices

Requirements:

• Proven experience managing analytics/data engineering teams
• Strong technical expertise in SQL, ETL/ELT, data modeling, and software engineering best practices
• Demonstrated experience with modern data stack tools
• Strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills
• Familiarity with AI/LLM applications in analytics
• Background in compliance or customer experience analytics is a plus
