About the Role

As a Senior Product Designer on Discord’s Developer Platform Team, you'll focus on crafting exceptional experiences for game studios—developers, community managers, and marketers—who use Discord to bring their games to life. You'll design the tools, portals, dashboards, and integrations that help them onboard, connect with players, and manage communities.

This role blends system thinking, UX strategy, and visual craft, and it will evolve to also support player-facing experiences. It's ideal for a design leader who thrives on complexity, enjoys working cross-functionally, and is passionate about improving the developer experience in gaming.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own product experiences from concept to execution to iteration
• Design wireframes, mockups, and prototypes; ship pixel-perfect UI
• Lead design strategy and execution for your squad
• Shape how studios interact with Discord (e.g., onboarding, dashboards, documentation)
• Improve design systems and help reduce design debt
• Present your work to cross-functional teams and leadership
• Participate in product roadmapping and cross-team critiques
• Use qualitative and quantitative data to validate and iterate on designs

Who They’re Looking For

• 5+ years of product design experience across web/mobile/desktop
• Experience as design lead on cross-functional teams or initiatives
• Strong product thinking and ability to connect UX to business goals
• Mastery of Figma and high-fidelity prototyping tools (e.g., Framer, Protopie)
• High design craft: skilled in typography, color theory, layout, interactions
• Strong storytelling and communication skills—especially with stakeholders
• Strategic mindset: start with “why” before diving into “how”
• Bonus: Experience contributing to design systems
