💰 Compensation: $196,000–$220,500 + equity + benefits

🎯 Role Summary

As a Senior Product Designer on Discord’s Safety team, you’ll help design key user experiences around privacy, trust, and user safety. This is a temporary role focused on delivering high-impact design work for systems that protect Discord’s 200M+ monthly users. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally across product, engineering, and analytics to ship elegant, scalable solutions for both desktop and mobile.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end user experiences that balance usability, trust, and backend complexity
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Analytics on safety-related features
• Create user flows, high-fidelity mocks, and interactive prototypes
• Contribute to and maintain the Discord Design System
• Present your work to internal stakeholders and the broader org to build alignment
• Test and iterate rapidly on concepts using user feedback and analytics

✅ Required Qualifications

• 5+ years designing consumer-facing digital products
• Portfolio showcasing high-impact design work across web and mobile
• Strong visual design and UI craftsmanship; creates polished, delightful user interfaces
• Deep experience working with design systems
• Confident in presenting design strategy and rationale to cross-functional teams
• Comfortable with ambiguity and skilled at turning complex backend logic into intuitive UX
