About the Role

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager on Discord's Developer Marketing team, you’ll lead the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for game-focused communities and servers. With over 200 million users engaging monthly—90% of whom are gamers—you’ll play a central role in helping developers use Discord to build and scale vibrant in-game communities. Your efforts will directly influence player engagement and help developers reach and retain their audiences more effectively.

What You'll Do

• Lead GTM Strategy & Execution: Build and drive integrated go-to-market strategies for new developer-facing features and programs.
• Shape Messaging & Positioning: Craft differentiated messaging that connects with game developers and highlights Discord’s community-building capabilities.
• Own Market Intelligence: Monitor and analyze the gaming and developer landscape to drive competitive strategy and narrative development.
• Champion the Developer Voice: Act as the internal advocate for game developers, aligning Discord’s products with real-world use cases and pain points.
• Drive Product Familiarity: Deeply understand Discord’s tools for running servers and fostering game communities.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with Product, Developer Relations, Comms, Partnerships, and other marketing functions to drive GTM execution.

You Should Have

• 7+ years of product marketing experience, ideally within the gaming industry or adjacent tech ecosystems.
• Deep empathy for developers, with the ability to understand their needs and pain points.
• Experience operating in ambiguous environments with a strategic mindset and a bias for action.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and lead GTM efforts from strategy through execution.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to distill complex ideas into simple, compelling narratives.
• Preferably, hands-on experience using Discord servers as part of a game launch or community engagement effort.
