💳 About the Role – Coinbase Card Team

This team is responsible for designing, building, and scaling the Coinbase crypto Card product with a strong focus on:

• Global availability
• Security and protection of user funds
• System reliability
• Smooth, user-friendly experience

🔧 What You’ll Do

• Build backend services for the Coinbase Card using Golang
• Design scalable, secure, cloud-native systems
• Drive technical vision and backend strategy
• Collaborate across teams (engineering, product, design, leadership) to turn ideas into working systems
• Write well-tested, production-ready code

✅ Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience working on card products at scale
• Proven ability to design, build, and maintain production services
• Strong skills in service-oriented architecture (SOA)
• Passion for crypto and open financial systems
• Excellent coding and testing practices

🌟 Nice to Haves

• Experience in rapid-growth startups
• Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks
• Blockchain knowledge (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with:
• Golang
• Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB
• Built or maintained financial, security-focused, or high-reliability systems
• Involvement in crypto-forward/onchain projects
