🌟 Role Overview: Senior Software Engineer, Backend (International Exchange)

In this role, you will work as part of the International team, focusing on building high-performance trading systems and products that meet the needs of Coinbase’s international customer base. This includes solving complex technical problems related to high-frequency, low-latency trading applications in a secure, cloud-based infrastructure. You'll play a critical role in enhancing Coinbase’s trading platform to provide users with robust features for portfolio management and strategic trading decisions.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Leading Product Development: Take charge of building new products that provide international traders with robust tools to manage their portfolios effectively.
• Scalable Systems Design: Design and develop scalable backend systems using modern cloud technology and industry best practices to address complex trading problems.
• Collaborative Roadmap Execution: Work cross-functionally with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to create and execute on a technical roadmap each quarter.
• Quality Code: Write high-quality, well-tested code to ensure that product features meet customer needs and maintain high standards.
• Performance Optimization: Work on optimizing trading infrastructure for speed, efficiency, and scalability, ensuring that Coinbase delivers the best possible performance to its users.

• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 2 years working on trading systems.
• Technical Expertise: Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services. Familiarity with service-oriented architecture and performance optimization.
• Code Quality: Strong focus on writing high-quality, well-tested code that meets customer requirements.
• Passion for Open Finance: A deep passion for building an open financial system that connects people globally.
