Overview:

Join Coinbase’s Core Reliability team within the Platform Infrastructure org. You’ll help scale systems 10–20x, build configuration and secret management systems, and improve canary-based safe deployment processes. This role is critical to ensuring system reliability, scalability, and reduced customer impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and enhance reliability tools (e.g., load testing, config management, safe deployment)
• Build and scale service configuration managers
• Lead initiatives to reduce incidents and improve deployment safety
• Contribute to company-wide scaling and reliability goals

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience
• Proven experience designing, scaling, and maintaining production services
• Strong coding, debugging, and system design skills
• Solid communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with observability and performance tuning
• Passion for crypto and open financial systems

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Go, Ruby, Terraform
• Background in AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms
• Knowledge of regulatory environments
• Prior experience writing training or technical blog content
• Familiarity with onchain tools, dApps, Ethereum, ENS
