Job Overview

Adyen is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of its developer documentation platform. This role is part of the Developer Experience (DevX) group and focuses on creating seamless, accurate, and scalable technical documentation that supports internal teams and external developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Adyen’s documentation platform using modern technologies.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and technical writers to understand developer needs.
• Champion a user-centric documentation strategy and lead improvements based on developer feedback.
• Define technical direction and implement innovative, AI-powered solutions for documentation.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and high-impact developers to inform product improvements.
• Drive automation in documentation processes.
• Support early adopter programs and contribute to strategic feedback loops.

Requirements

• 8+ years in software engineering, with a focus on APIs, SDKs, or developer tools.
• Experience with Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of docs-as-code principles and related tooling.
• Proven ability to drive technical strategy and execution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Collaborative, team-first mindset with product-oriented thinking.
• Experience or strong interest in AI-driven documentation solutions.
• Comfortable in cross-functional and developer-facing roles.
