We’re growing our Consumer Revenue team to scale our technology and monetization efforts. Our goal is to drive multi-billion-dollar revenue growth while delivering an exceptional user experience. We’re looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer to take a leadership role in shaping our technical roadmap, collaborating across departments, and ensuring the success of revenue-driven initiatives.

This role reports to the Director of Engineering, Consumer Revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Develop and drive the technical roadmap for Nitro, Shop, and Server revenue streams, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Scalability & Growth: Accelerate the growth of existing revenue streams while laying the foundation for new monetization opportunities.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with Engineering, Product, Data Science, Design, and Marketing to align technical strategies with revenue objectives.
• High-Impact Initiatives: Lead large-scale engineering initiatives from inception to launch, improving existing systems and processes.
• Code Excellence: Provide hands-on development expertise in one or more core platforms:
• Web: React, TypeScript
• Android: React Native, Kotlin
• iOS: React Native, Objective-C, Swift
• Backend: Python, Elixir
• Strategic Advisory: Advise leadership on technical considerations, scalability, and engineering best practices.
• Mentorship & Culture: Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

• 8+ years of industry experience as a software engineer.
• Deep expertise in at least one of our core platforms (web, Android, iOS, backend).
• Proven experience leading large-scale initiatives from concept to execution.
• Strong experience building and shipping high-scale, real-time product features.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Marketing, and Engineering).
• A problem-solving mindset, focusing on first principles rather than quick fixes.

Preferred:

• Experience in revenue-focused engineering roles or monetization-related product development.
• Background in consumer technology or gaming industries.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base salary: $263,000 - $289,500 (USD)
