Job Title: Senior Stock Plan Administrator - Remote (Crypto & Web3 Focus)

We are seeking a Senior Stock Plan Administrator to manage and support Discord’s global equity programs. This includes overseeing equity grants, option exercises, RSU releases, and special projects. In this role, you will collaborate with Finance, Payroll, Tax, Legal, HR teams, and external vendors to ensure accurate administration of our equity plans while helping employees understand their equity compensation, especially in the context of crypto and Web3 initiatives.

This position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Stock Administration and can be based remotely within the United States.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Administer Global Equity Programs: Oversee Discord’s equity programs, including stock options, RSUs, and crypto-related equity grants (if applicable), ensuring all actions are properly documented and comply with regulations.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with Finance, Payroll, Tax, Legal, and HR to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of equity record-keeping, tax withholding, reporting, and reconciliation.
• Provide Employee Support: Address questions and requests from employees regarding their equity compensation. Design and lead educational sessions to ensure employees understand Discord’s equity plans, especially as it relates to crypto compensation and Web3.
• Section 16 Reporting & 10b5-1 Plans: In partnership with the Legal team, prepare and file Section 16 reports (Forms 3, 4, and 5) and manage the tracking and reporting of 10b5-1 trading plans.
• SOX Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and internal controls on equity-related actions. Document, test, and support audits for equity compensation programs.
• Global Equity Plan Management: Oversee daily operations of equity plans, including enrollment, processing stock options, RSU awards, exercises, settlements, tax mobility, repurchases, and more.
• Year-End Tax Reporting: Support the preparation of tax filings for IRC 6039 reporting and manage the quarterly calendar of equity administration activities.
• Special Projects: Assist with other stock plan administration tasks and special projects, including integration of crypto and blockchain-based equity compensation programs, as relevant.

What You Should Have:

• 4+ years of experience in stock plan administration, with experience at both private and public companies.
• Certified Equity Professional (CEP) certification is required.
• Strong experience in managing global equity plans and overseeing equity administration systems (preferably Carta and Fidelity).
• Proficient in Form 3, 4, and 5 filings.
• Passion for equity compensation, with a focus on helping employees understand and leverage their equity in both traditional and crypto/Web3 settings.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge and experience with crypto equity compensation or Web3 technologies is a plus, as Discord continues to innovate in these areas.

Compensation:

• Base Salary: $125,000 to $137,500 + equity + benefits.
• Compensation is determined by role, level, experience, and other factors, and does not include equity or benefits.
