About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Technology Risk Analyst to join our U.S. Technology team and play a critical role in our first line of defense. You will work closely with engineering, legal, compliance, and risk teams to identify, document, and mitigate technology risks that could impact our platform and services. You will help us mature our technology governance processes and build a robust framework for managing regulatory and operational risks.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain and document Coinbase Technology's strategic roadmap.
• Identify, evaluate, and document technology risks and create remediation plans.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, enterprise risk, and compliance to support key business processes and enhance risk controls.
• Support reporting, risk metrics, and performance dashboards to inform senior leadership.
• Analyze regulatory changes and translate them into actionable technical requirements.
• Coordinate with global sites on unified risk initiatives.
• Contribute to internal and external audit readiness, including documentation and evidence gathering.
• Maintain team resources including runbooks, intranet content, and risk registers.
• Participate in ICT Risk Management and Governance frameworks.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in technology governance, risk, or compliance.
• Deep familiarity with industry frameworks like ITIL, COBIT, NIST, ISO.
• Proven track record in risk remediation, regulatory gap assessments, or audit resolution.
• Strong cross-functional communication and project management skills.
• Analytical thinker with experience driving data-informed decisions.
• Comfort working in fast-paced, cloud-native, and highly regulated environments.
• Passion for the future of decentralized finance and blockchain technologies.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with financial services, fintech, or crypto-related environments.
• Familiarity with GRC platforms (e.g., Jira, Archer).
• Prior experience with global programs or regulatory engagement.
• Advanced knowledge of Google Workspace, JIRA, Confluence.
• Prior crypto or blockchain experience.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Range: $162,350 - $191,000 USD annually
