🧾 Position Summary

Role: Senior TMS (Transaction Monitoring System) Compliance Analyst

Location: On-site — Charlotte, NC

Type: Full-time

Salary: $99,365/year (plus bonus, equity, and benefits)

This is an on-site role with required in-office presence, including night/weekend shifts to support Coinbase’s 24/7 operations.

🚨 Role Focus

The analyst will support Coinbase’s anti-money laundering (AML) efforts through comprehensive transaction monitoring investigations. This includes alert resolution, SAR drafting, and escalation of suspicious behavior.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end investigations using Coinbase’s transaction monitoring systems
• Review alerts triggered by customer behavior or external referrals (e.g., law enforcement)
• Analyze transaction patterns, KYC info, and third-party data
• Draft Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)
• Maintain documentation to support regulatory and internal compliance standards
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team and act on feedback
• Stay updated on regulatory changes in AML, BSA, OFAC, and crypto-related compliance

✅ Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years in financial services, crypto, legal, compliance, or tech
• Experience in TMS investigations and SAR narrative drafting
• Familiarity with AML/BSA regulations and transaction monitoring best practices
• Strong analytical, writing, and decision-making skills
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Excel, and documentation tools
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights/weekends

• Advanced degree in Finance, Business, or Compliance
• Experience with tools like JIRA, Salesforce Service Cloud, or Hummingbird
• Background in vendor or project management
