Role Overview:

As a Senior TMS Compliance Analyst, you will be part of the CX Compliance team, responsible for conducting end-to-end Transaction Monitoring investigations for customers (individuals/entities). You will analyze transactions, draft Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), and ensure compliance with BSA/AML regulations. You will work independently while collaborating with leaders across various functions to maintain high production and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate and analyze automated alerts from transaction monitoring systems, referrals from law enforcement, and other business functions.
• Draft and file SARs when necessary.
• Review and analyze transaction activity, KYC information, and due diligence to determine the legitimacy of customer behavior across Coinbase’s products.
• Document investigations and provide clear written narratives.
• Maintain detailed records to demonstrate compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Apply BSA/AML, KYC, and OFAC regulations to case investigations.
• Incorporate feedback from the Quality Assurance team to improve the investigation process continuously.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial services, crypto, investigations, or legal fields, with a focus on TMS, compliance, or regulatory matters.
• Experience in SAR narrative drafting and filing.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to write clear investigative narratives.
• Proficiency in using Google Sheets, Docs, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and adapt to evolving business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification in AML or Fraud (e.g., CAMS, CFCS, CFE).
• Experience in project management, analytics, or vendor management.
• Advanced degree in business, finance, or customer experience (CX).
• Proficiency with tools like JIRA, Salesforce Service Cloud, Hummingbird, and Google apps.
• Experience working with external outsource business partners.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Pay Range: $99,365 USD/year
• Full benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), target bonus, and equity.
