Role Overview

Ripple is searching for a Senior US Tax Operations Manager to lead federal, state, and local tax compliance and strategy. You will play a key role in tax planning, reporting, risk management, and process improvements, ensuring that Ripple stays ahead of changing tax regulations.

This role is perfect for someone collaborative, adaptable, and highly analytical, who enjoys working cross-functionally and has a passion for fintech, financial services, and crypto.

Key Responsibilities

✅ US Tax Compliance & Strategy

• Lead US federal, multi-state, and local direct & indirect tax compliance and reporting.
• Ensure Ripple's tax position is optimized while remaining compliant.
• Proactively monitor changes in US tax laws and their business impacts.

✅ Business Partnering & Advisory

• Work with cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Product) to assess tax implications for new business initiatives.
• Provide input on new products, services, and global expansion.

✅ Tax Planning & Process Improvement

• Develop tax-efficient strategies for Ripple’s growing international business.
• Implement automation & scalable processes for efficient tax reporting.
• Manage quarterly and annual tax forecasts for Ripple’s global operations.

✅ Tax Examinations & Compliance Reviews

• Support US federal and multi-state tax audits and inquiries.
• Prepare and oversee responses to tax authorities.

✅ External Partnerships

• Oversee external tax service providers and advisors.
• Ensure best-in-class tax strategy and implementation.

What You Bring

🎯 7+ years of tax experience (fintech, financial services, or crypto is a plus).

🎯 Deep knowledge of US and multi-state taxation, including FDII, GILTI, Subpart F, FTCs, BEAT.

🎯 Experience managing tax operations for complex, high-growth companies.

🎯 Strong technical research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

🎯 Advanced Excel skills (modeling, tax calculations).

🎯 Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills.

🎯 Self-motivated, adaptable, and results-driven.
