📌 Role Overview

As the Site Lead for Compliance Operations (CX), you’ll oversee operations for key compliance workflows like:

• Retail Enhanced Due Diligence
• Transaction Monitoring
• Retail Screening

Your mission: deliver world-class customer support and lead a high-performing team through complex regulatory demands in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and scale Coinbase’s AML/Financial Crime compliance operations
• Lead a team of managers and experienced professionals
• Drive excellence in KPIs: quality, productivity, efficiency
• Oversee internal audits, executive escalations, and 2nd Line of Defense reviews
• Identify and implement process optimization and automation
• Ensure cross-functional collaboration (e.g., Risk, Legal, Product)
• Set and uphold high standards for talent selection, coaching, and retention
• Champion compliance integrity while improving customer experience

✅ What They’re Looking For

• 10+ years of AML or Financial Crime compliance experience
• Deep knowledge of banking regulations, payments, and operational compliance
• Proven people leadership experience and talent development track record
• Strong process improvement and problem-solving mindset
• Hands-on experience with audits, controls, and regulatory reporting
• Expertise in compliance workflows: EDD, TM, KYC, sanctions screening
• Skilled in cross-functional stakeholder influence and communication
• Fluent in English and motivated by Coinbase’s mission

➕ Nice to Have

• ACAMS or other relevant certifications
• Experience with tools like:
• Salesforce Service Cloud, JIRA, Looker Dashboards, Google Workspace
• Project management and analytics experience
• Advanced degree or training in Compliance, Risk, or Business
