Role Overview

Canva is looking for a creative and strategic Social Media Manager to lead and manage its social media presence in Türkiye. This role plays a key part in strengthening Canva’s brand awareness, community engagement, and cultural relevance in the Turkish market. You’ll not only strategize and manage content, but also act as an on-screen content creator, producing compelling static, video, and live social content that resonates locally.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a localized content strategy and social media calendar aligned with brand goals.
• Act as a content creator, including on-camera work for video and live content tailored to Turkish audiences.
• Create, publish, and manage multi-format social content (static, video, text) using Canva.
• Localize and adapt global campaigns to fit the Turkish market, culture, and language.
• Foster and grow Canva’s Turkish social community through regular community engagement and conversation management.
• Monitor social trends, respond to real-time opportunities, and develop strategies that enhance Canva’s cultural relevance.
• Report on social performance metrics, contribute insights, and iterate content strategies accordingly.
• Serve as a brand guardian on social, maintaining voice, tone, and visual consistency across all content.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, design, and community teams globally.

Ideal Candidate

• 3–5+ years of experience in social media marketing, with a portfolio of on-camera content creation.
• Native or fluent Turkish speaker with excellent English communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute creative social strategies, especially on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.
• Hands-on experience with tools like Sprout Social, Canva, Google Analytics, Looker, and basic video editing software.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, remote-first environments and across multiple time zones.
• Highly collaborative with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
