About the Role

Join the Growth team at Coinbase to build crypto-forward backend systems that accelerate user acquisition and onboarding. You’ll develop high-scale systems and run experiments that support the adoption of Coinbase’s consumer-facing products.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend systems using modern cloud technologies
• Implement and analyze A/B tests and experiments to drive growth
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quarterly product roadmaps
• Maintain high standards of code quality and system reliability
• Participate in the full development lifecycle from ideation to deployment

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in backend software engineering
• Experience designing and maintaining production-grade services
• Strong proficiency in writing clean, testable code
• Passion for crypto and open financial systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience launching new products from scratch (0 → 1)
• Familiarity with A/B testing platforms and growth experimentation
• Knowledge of blockchain technologies (e.g., Ethereum, Bitcoin)
• Experience with tools like Golang, Ruby, Rails, Docker, Postgres, MongoDB
• Prior experience building fintech or high-security systems
• Onchain experience (e.g., using wallets, interacting with dApps)
