Overview:

Join Coinbase's Consumer Product Group to build the next generation of crypto products. You'll work on high-scale systems, decompose monolithic architecture, and help make self-custody wallets and crypto services easy and secure for everyone.

Key Responsibilities:

• Break down monolithic Rails app into microservices
• Design and scale backend systems with a long-term vision
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute roadmap
• Write high-quality, tested, maintainable code

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of backend software engineering experience
• Experience building and maintaining production services
• Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture
• Clear, effective coding practices

Nice to Have:

• Experience during rapid company growth
• A/B testing or growth experiment background
• Familiarity with blockchain tech (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum)
• Experience with Golang, Ruby, Rails, Docker, Postgres, MongoDB
• Crypto-native experience (ENS, Ethereum wallets, dApps, staking)
