We're looking for a Backend Engineer to join our Server Foundations team, where you'll shape the core infrastructure that hundreds of Coinbase engineers rely on daily. 🔍 What You'll Do

✔ Design & Build: Create software frameworks and shared libraries for Coinbase's backend ecosystem

✔ Modernize Infrastructure: Revitalize our development framework and gRPC services

✔ Solve Complex Problems: Refactor legacy systems while maintaining high availability

✔ Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with infrastructure, security, and product teams

✔ Drive Standards: Establish best practices for backend development at scale

⚙️ Tech Stack

• Languages: Go (primary), Rust, Java
• Protocols: gRPC, HTTP/2
• Infrastructure: Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform
• Databases: PostgreSQL, DynamoDB

• 2+ years backend development experience
• Strong Go skills (or similar languages)
• Experience building shared libraries/frameworks
