Coinbase, one of the leading platforms in cryptocurrency, is looking for Backend Engineers to join their International Exchange team. The goal is to build and enhance the next generation of trading products, solving complex technical problems to make cryptocurrency accessible globally. The position involves working with a fast-paced team to design and scale systems that support real-time, high-frequency, and low-latency trading systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building New Products: Design and build new features for traders to manage their portfolio.
• Design Scalable Systems: Solve novel problems with modern cloud technologies.
• Articulate a Long-Term Vision: Plan for maintaining and scaling backend systems.
• Collaborating Across Teams: Work with engineers, designers, product managers, and leadership to implement product roadmaps.
• High-Quality Code: Write well-tested code to meet customer needs.

What We Look For

1. Experience:
2. At least 2 years of experience in software engineering, especially on trading systems.
3. Experience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services with a service-oriented architecture.
4. Skills:
5. Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code.
6. Passion for building an open financial system using blockchain technology.
7. Nice to Have:
8. Experience in rapid company growth (startup to mid-size).
9. Familiarity with technologies like Golang, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
10. Crypto-forward experience, including working with Ethereum and interacting with dApps.
