🔧 About the Role

As a Backend Software Engineer in the Platform Product Group, you’ll solve complex, large-scale problems that merge blockchain tech with web-scale systems. You’ll help make crypto accessible to millions through secure, scalable, and compliant infrastructure.

🧠 You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Building backend services using Golang to support critical product and business needs
• Designing scalable systems using cloud-native technologies and best practices
• Collaborating with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership
• Writing high-quality, well-tested code that powers Coinbase’s core infrastructure

💼 What We're Looking For:

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience building and scaling production-grade services
• Strong software design and architecture skills
• High bar for code quality and testing
• Passion for building an open financial system

✨ Nice to Have:

• Experience in high-growth tech environments
• Familiarity with blockchains like Bitcoin and Ethereum
• Knowledge of:
• Microservices architecture
• Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails
• Postgres, MongoDB, Redshift
• Crypto-native experience: using ENS, dApps, interacting with Ethereum addresses
• Background in fintech, security, or high-reliability systems

💸 Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $147,900 – $174,000 USD
• Includes: target bonus, equity, health benefits, 401(k)
• Fully remote work within the U.S.
