🧠 Team Focus & Mission

The Consumer Product Group is focused on making the Coinbase Wallet and other retail crypto tools the most user-friendly and secure way to interact with web3. Their 2024 goal is to be the #1 self-custody wallet by MAUs and downloads.

They build products like:

• The Coinbase app
• Advanced crypto trading tools
• Staking, voting, and dApp integrations
• Crypto onboarding and asset management tools

🛠️ What You'll Be Doing

• Building user-facing features in JavaScript and React (and potentially React Native)
• Architecting frontend systems for performance, security, and usability
• Working across teams to integrate blockchain interactions (staking, asset transfers, etc.)
• Collaborating with PMs, Designers, and other Engineers
• Contributing to design and feature planning each quarter
• Creating a positive, inclusive team culture

✅ Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years experience building web applications
• Strong experience with modern component-based JS frameworks (e.g. React)
• Understanding of frontend best practices (performance, security, accessibility)
• Experience working in cross-functional teams
• Habit of writing high-quality, testable code

💡 Nice to Have

• Experience in finance or security-related frontend work
• 1+ years of React Native experience or involvement in mobile app migration
• Crypto-forward experience:
• Familiarity with onchain tools like Ethereum, ENS
• Engagement with dApps, wallets, and smart contracts
